Key staff and executives from Target Marketing recently attended the promotional products industry's largest expo in the world, the Hong Kong Gift Fair, in Hong Kong, April 27-30, 2015. Our team attended the show to meet with suppliers, check out new products and learn about trends in the promotional products industry.
While there we also attended the IGC Global Events Annual Conference. IGC Global Promotions is the world’s largest alliance of promotional marketing suppliers with a network of 55 partners covering 49 countries, guaranteeing a global approach with local services. Target Marketing has been a member of the alliance since 2011 and our executives sit on the board of IGC, helping to guide the direction of the organization.
IGC is an integral partner with Target Marketing and allows us to expand our network globally to benefit our clients and deliver services around the world. IGC helps us serve customers efficiently and effectively in all stages of the procurement process of promotional products and gifts, delivering the best customer experience.
At our meeting this year we made plans to open a service office in Hong Kong owned by IGC members. This Hong Kong buying office will help us to control product safety, corporate social responsibility and compliance with our suppliers on-site. This ensures our clients can be confident in vendor practices knowing they are purchasing product that adheres to strict safety standards.
The global scope of our partnerships also give us exposure to products from other countries that typically can’t be found in the United States. We were able to spend time together in marketing round tables to talk about promotion trends and projects in other countries, helping our clients to stay ahead of the curve.
